Hi, my name is Francine
Originally from the UK, I have called Brisbane home now for 18 years.

Always being an employee, I dreamed of what it would be like to own my own business, doing something I loved. Having a lifelong love affair with all animals, but dogs in particular, it became obvious to me that I could combine my love of dogs with my creative side and so the idea for Barkers Bazaar was born.
To ensure my success and provide the best possible service I could, I needed to secure the best training, and so after much research, I selected K9 Chic Grooming School in Cleveland and embarked on extensive training, culminating in attaining a Cert III in Companion Animal Studies - Dog Grooming. I also recently bolstered my skills with a 3 week intensive at The Australian Dog Grooming School in Melbourne and have attended Pet First Aid for Groomers workshops here in Queensland.

My Ethos
My ethos is to ensure every dog is given 100% respect, focus, care and compassion and everything I do at Barkers Bazaar is in the best interest of the dog and upholds the dog's dignity. I offer the very best of myself to each and every animal, each and every groom.

The Way I Like to Work
I only ever book a small number of dogs per day with the emphasis being on quality, not quantity. This allows me ample time to provide the love and patience each puppy deserves, which in turn encourages and builds their confidence as we go. Because I am a 'one girl band', your puppy will only ever be with me for a long as necessary, never caged between each service or kept unnecessarily for hours at a time, or indeed passed between several different groomers, exacerbating their anxiety.

I work with the puppy to build trust so that the dog learns that grooming is not something to fear. So if you're looking for a gentle, compassionate and patient grooming service delivered by a true animal lover, you've come to the right place.
